This event divides Ethereum's price on June 21, 2026 at 5pm EDT into consecutive price ranges, allowing participants to predict which specific band ETH will fall within. Each outcome represents a $40 price interval, from below $940 up to $2,460 and above. The final price is determined by averaging 60 seconds of CF Benchmarks' Ethereum Real-Time Index data.
Resolution is based on the simple average of sixty seconds of CF Benchmarks' Ethereum Real-Time Index (ERTI) collected immediately before 5 PM EDT on June 21, 2026. The price range is divided into consecutive $40 intervals; exactly one outcome resolves to Yes based on where the 60-second average falls (e.g., below 940 for the first outcome, between 940-979.99 for the second, between 980-1019.99 for the third, etc.). CF Benchmarks' RTI is the authoritative price source rather than general market data from exchanges. The official final value is calculated as the average of all 60 RTI prices collected during the final minute before expiration.
Prediction market odds reflect what traders collectively believe will happen, often diverging from current spot prices or analyst forecasts. On this market, the odds encode forward-looking expectations about Ethereum's price trajectory over the next 18+ months, factoring in macroeconomic conditions, regulatory developments, and on-chain metrics that spot prices may lag in pricing. Unlike a snapshot of today's ETH price, the odds here represent a probabilistic bet on a specific future moment. Comparing these odds to consensus analyst price targets or long-term technical analysis can reveal whether traders are pricing in more bullish or bearish scenarios than the broader market consensus.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each ETH price range outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each range bucket trades independently, and the price of a share reflects the probability that outcome will occur. Traders submit limit and market orders, and the platform matches them in real time. The tighter the bid-ask spread on a given range, the more confident and liquid that outcome is perceived to be. As new information arrives—whether from macroeconomic data, crypto news, or technical developments—traders adjust their positions, and prices across all ranges update to reflect the new consensus.
This market resolves around Jun 21, 2026, at which point the outcome is determined by where Ethereum's price settles at that specific moment. The winning range is confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting of ETH's spot price. Traders who held shares in the correct range receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The resolution is objective and based on widely available market data, ensuring all participants can independently verify the result. Until that date, positions remain open and can be traded, allowing participants to adjust their exposure as new information emerges.
Major catalysts for this market include Federal Reserve policy decisions, inflation data, and macroeconomic shocks that affect risk appetite for crypto assets. Regulatory announcements—particularly around staking, custody, or ETH's status as a security—can shift long-term price expectations significantly. On-chain metrics such as staking participation, network upgrades, or changes in developer activity may also influence trader positioning. Bitcoin's price action often correlates with Ethereum moves, so BTC catalysts matter too. Additionally, broader tech sector performance, venture capital funding trends, and institutional adoption announcements can sway sentiment. Geopolitical events and changes in central bank digital currency timelines may also reshape how traders price Ethereum's medium-term prospects.
