Deleted posts will count as long as they remain available long enough to be captured by the tracker (~5 minutes). Community reposts which are not counted by the tracker not count toward the total. The resolution source for this market is the 'Post Counter' figure for posts found at https://xtracker.polymarket.com. Individual posts can be viewed by clicking "Export Data". If the tracker does not update correctly in accordance with the rules, X itself may be used as a secondary resolution source.
It's often observed that prediction market odds can differ from traditional polling data. Polls capture stated preferences, while this market reflects what people are willing to *bet* on, revealing true beliefs. If polls suggest a certain outcome is likely, but the market price indicates a lower probability, it could signal skepticism about the poll's accuracy or the likelihood of the predicted outcome actually occurring. This discrepancy can arise from factors like social desirability bias in polls or informed traders incorporating additional data into their assessments within this market.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in different outcomes. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Market participants adjust their bids and asks based on new information and their own analysis, leading to a dynamic price that reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd. Higher trading volume generally indicates greater interest and confidence in the market's predictions.
This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will depend on a verified count of all public tweets posted by Elon Musk on the X platform (formerly Twitter) between October 16th and October 23rd, 2026, inclusive. The final market outcome will reflect the actual number of tweets posted during that period, as determined by publicly available data and widely accepted counting methods.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any significant changes to Elon Musk’s posting habits, announcements regarding his use of X, or major world events that might affect his online activity could all move the market. Additionally, news related to X's policies or technological changes impacting tweet posting could also be catalysts. Unexpected geopolitical events or personal announcements from Musk himself are other potential signals that traders will react to, shifting the price and volume of this market.
