This market will resolve according to the number of times Elon Musk (@elonmusk), posts on X from October 13 12:00 PM ET to October 20, 2026 12:00 PM ET. For the purposes of this market, only main feed posts, quote posts and reposts will count. Replies will NOT count towards the total - however, replies on the main feed such as https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1786073478711353576 will be counted by the tracker. Deleted posts will count as long as they remain available long enough to be captured by the tracker (~5 minutes). Community reposts which are not counted by the tracker not count toward the total. The resolution source for this market is the 'Post Counter' figure for posts found at https://xtracker.polymarket.com. Individual posts can be viewed by clicking "Export Data". If the tracker does not update correctly in accordance with the rules, X itself may be used as a secondary resolution source.

Currently, it's difficult to directly compare prediction market odds to traditional polling averages for this specific event, as there aren’t widely available polls forecasting Elon Musk’s tweet volume. However, prediction markets often incorporate a wider range of information and incentives than polls, potentially leading to more accurate forecasts. This market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who have a financial stake in correctly predicting the outcome, while polls rely on self-reported intentions and can be subject to biases. It will be interesting to see if the market’s prediction aligns with any future expert analyses.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the outcome. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, with higher prices indicating a greater likelihood. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth and trading activity influence price movements, and traders adjust their positions based on new information and their own assessments of the event. Currently, the most probable outcome, with a chance of 16.5%, is that Elon Musk will post 140-159 tweets.
This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final number of tweets posted by Elon Musk on X (formerly Twitter) between October 13 and October 20, 2026, will be used to determine the winning outcome range. The resolution will be based on a publicly available count of his posts during that period, ensuring a transparent and objective assessment of the event's outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any announcement from Elon Musk regarding his social media usage, such as a planned hiatus or increased activity, would likely cause a shift in the odds. Major news events or controversies involving Musk could also influence his tweeting behavior and, consequently, the market price. Additionally, changes to the X platform itself, or broader societal trends related to social media engagement, could play a role. Unexpected technical issues affecting Musk’s account or the platform’s functionality could also move this market.
