This market tracks how many tweets Elon Musk will post on X during a specific 48-hour window in July 2026. On Polymarket, the leading outcome—that Musk posts fewer than 40 tweets from July 6 to July 8, 2026—stands at 100.0%, while the outcome for 65–89 tweets holds 0.1%. Resolution will be determined by counting posts, quote posts, and reposts from @elonmusk's account, excluding replies. Watch the close of the betting window on July 8, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET, which marks both the end of the observation period and the point at which the final tweet count will be tallied against Polymarket's resolution criteria.
This market will resolve according to the number of times Elon Musk (@elonmusk), posts on X from July 6 12:00 PM ET to July 8, 2026 12:00 PM ET. For the purposes of this market, only main feed posts, quote posts and reposts will count. Replies will NOT count towards the total - however, replies on the main feed such as https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1786073478711353576 will be counted by the tracker. Deleted posts will count as long as they remain available long enough to be captured by the tracker (~5 minutes). Community reposts which are not counted by the tracker not count toward the total. The resolution source for this market is the 'Post Counter' figure for posts found at https://xtracker.polymarket.com. Individual posts can be viewed by clicking "Export Data". If the tracker does not update correctly in accordance with the rules, X itself may be used as a secondary resolution source.
Prediction markets and polls measure different things: polls ask people what they think will happen, while markets reveal what traders are willing to stake money on. In this market, the odds reflect financial incentives—traders who forecast incorrectly lose capital, creating pressure for accuracy. Polling averages on social media behavior are rare and less reliable than market prices, since prediction markets aggregate dispersed information through price discovery. When traders disagree with conventional expectations about Elon Musk's tweeting patterns, the market odds often diverge from informal estimates, offering a complementary signal grounded in real economic commitment rather than survey responses.
On Polymarket, traders buy and sell shares representing different tweet-count outcomes, with the price of each share reflecting its implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The leading outcome currently reflects trader consensus on the most likely range. As new information emerges—such as Elon Musk's recent posting frequency or major news events—traders adjust their positions, moving prices up or down. The market price at any moment represents the collective belief of all active participants, weighted by the capital they are willing to commit. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the odds stay responsive to changing expectations throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Jul 8, 2026, once the three-day observation period concludes and Elon Musk's tweet count can be verified. The outcome is determined by counting the actual number of tweets he posts during July 6 through July 8, 2026, and comparing that total to the outcome ranges traders have wagered on. Resolution is confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting and official records. Traders who selected the outcome matching the final count receive their payout, while those on incorrect outcomes lose their stake.
Several factors could shift odds before the market closes. Major news events or controversies involving Elon Musk or his companies may trigger unusual posting activity, either spiking or suppressing his tweet volume. Changes in his public schedule—such as earnings calls, product launches, or legal proceedings—could influence how much he communicates on the platform. Broader social media trends or platform policy changes might also affect his behavior. Additionally, as the event window approaches, traders may refine their forecasts based on his recent tweeting patterns, causing the market to drift toward a narrower consensus. Real-time monitoring of his account activity in the days leading up to July 6 will likely drive final price adjustments.
