For the purposes of this market, only main feed posts, quote posts and reposts will count. If the tracker does not update correctly in accordance with the rules, X itself may be used as a secondary resolution source.
Prediction markets like this one differ fundamentally from traditional polls because they aggregate financial incentives rather than survey responses. Traders who bet money on outcomes have skin in the game, which often produces more accurate forecasts than static polling. This market reflects real-time expectations about tweet volume, updated continuously as new information emerges. Unlike polls, which capture a snapshot at one moment, prediction markets reward participants who correctly anticipate events, creating a dynamic pricing mechanism that adjusts to breaking news or changing circumstances throughout the forecast period.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into real-time odds for each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares representing different tweet-volume ranges, and the price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by the market. As more capital flows into a particular outcome, its price rises and others adjust downward. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures that odds remain responsive to new information and trader conviction, with volume of $4,102,160 indicating the total capital committed across all outcomes.
This market resolves around Jul 31, 2026, once the event period concludes and the tweet count becomes verifiable. The outcome is determined by counting the total number of tweets posted by the relevant account during the specified week, confirmed against credible public sources. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome bracket receive their payout based on the final verified count. Resolution typically occurs within days of the market end date, allowing quick settlement and payout distribution to winning positions.
Several factors could shift odds in this market before Jul 31, 2026. Major news events, policy announcements, or personal developments involving the account holder may trigger sudden changes in posting behavior. Market participants also react to historical tweet-volume data, seasonal patterns, and any public statements about planned social media activity. Technical issues or platform changes affecting posting could create volatility. Additionally, as the resolution date approaches, traders often reassess their positions based on observed activity during the forecast week, causing late-stage price adjustments as actual tweet counts become clearer.
