This market tracks whether Elon Musk will post 280-299 tweets on X between July 21 and July 28, 2026. On Polymarket, the current probability that he will post 280-299 tweets is 100.0%, with an alternate outcome of 300-319 tweets at 0.1%. The resolution will be based on activity tracked at https://x.com/elonmusk, and the final count will be confirmed as of July 28, 2026.
This market will resolve according to the number of times Elon Musk (@elonmusk), posts on X from July 21 12:00 PM ET to July 28, 2026 12:00 PM ET. For the purposes of this market, only main feed posts, quote posts and reposts will count. Replies will NOT count towards the total - however, replies on the main feed such as https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1786073478711353576 will be counted by the tracker. Deleted posts will count as long as they remain available long enough to be captured by the tracker (~5 minutes). Community reposts which are not counted by the tracker not count toward the total. The resolution source for this market is the 'Post Counter' figure for posts found at https://xtracker.polymarket.com. Individual posts can be viewed by clicking "Export Data". If the tracker does not update correctly in accordance with the rules, X itself may be used as a secondary resolution source.
Prediction markets like this one differ fundamentally from polls because they aggregate real-money incentives rather than survey responses. Traders who forecast incorrectly lose capital, creating a financial penalty that encourages accuracy. While traditional polls measure stated intent or opinion at a single moment, this market continuously updates as new information emerges and participants adjust their positions. The odds embedded in this market reflect aggregated trader conviction about Elon Musk's actual tweet volume during the specified week, often incorporating signals that surveys cannot capture, such as recent social media patterns or announced events.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probabilities for each outcome bracket. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders purchase shares representing different tweet count ranges, and the price of each share reflects the collective assessment of that outcome's likelihood. As more capital flows into a particular bracket, its price rises and the implied probability increases. The current leading outcome suggests traders expect a tweet volume within a specific range, with pricing continuously adjusting based on new trades and market sentiment shifts.
This market resolves around Jul 28, 2026, once the trading window closes and the event period ends. The outcome is determined by verifying the actual number of tweets posted by Elon Musk from July 21 through July 28, 2026, against credible public sources. Whichever outcome bracket contains the verified tweet count becomes the winning position, and traders holding shares in that bracket receive their payout. Resolution typically occurs within days of the event conclusion, pending confirmation of the final data.
Several factors could shift trader positioning before Jul 28, 2026. Major announcements or controversies involving Elon Musk might trigger sudden changes in his tweeting frequency. Scheduled product launches, earnings calls, or regulatory developments could increase or decrease his social media activity. Historical tweet volume data released closer to the event window may prompt recalibration of odds. Additionally, large trader positions entering or exiting the market can move prices significantly. Real-time monitoring of Musk's actual tweet count during the first few days of the July 21–28 window often accelerates repricing as empirical data replaces speculation.
