Polymarket
This market tracks whether the European Central Bank will raise its deposit facility rate by 25 basis points at its June 2026 monetary policy meeting. On Polymarket, a 25 bps increase is priced at 91.0%, while no change is at 8.1%. The resolution will be determined by the official ECB interest rate decision released following the June 11, 2026 meeting, as published on the ECB's official calendar and interest rates page. Watch for the ECB's announcement on June 11, 2026, which will settle this market based on the actual change to the deposit facility rate upper bound.
This market will resolve to the amount of basis points the upper bound of the deposit facility rate is changed by versus the level it was prior to the European Central Bank's (ECB) June 2026 meeting. If the deposit facility rate is changed to a level not expressed in the displayed options, the change will be rounded up to the nearest 25 basis points and will resolve to the relevant bracket. For example, if the deposit facility rate is increased or decreased by 12.5 basis points, it will be treated as a 25 basis point change for the purposes of resolution. The resolution source for this market is information released by the European Central Bank after its June 11, 2026 monetary policy meeting, as listed on the official ECB calendar: https://www.ecb.europa.eu/press/calendars/mgcgc/html/index.en.html The level and change of the deposit facility rate is also published at the official ECB interest rates page: https://www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/policy_and_exchange_rates/key_ecb_interest_rates/html/index.en.html This market may resolve as soon as the ECB releases its interest rate decision following the June 11, 2026, meeting. If no interest rate decision or update is published by July 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the “No change” bracket.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect real-money consensus from thousands of traders and often diverge from traditional analyst surveys. While sell-side economists typically publish point forecasts based on econometric models and policy guidance, prediction markets price in live information, geopolitical risk, and tail-event probabilities that surveys may lag. The Polymarket market for the June 2026 ECB decision aggregates dispersed knowledge from global participants, making it a complementary signal to Bloomberg consensus or central-bank watcher reports. Comparing the two reveals whether markets are pricing in more hawkish or dovish scenarios than the analyst median expects.
The ECB Interest Rates: June 2026 market resolves on Jun 11, 2026, following the ECB's official monetary policy announcement at its June 2026 Governing Council meeting. Resolution is determined by the ECB's communiqué and press conference, which specify the new key interest rate decision. Traders holding winning shares receive their payout once the outcome is confirmed and the market is settled. The exact resolution criteria depend on the specific contract structure on Polymarket, which may track a 25 basis point increase, a hold, or other discrete policy moves. Participants should review the market's terms before trading to understand which ECB action triggers each outcome.
Several catalysts could shift odds on the June 2026 ECB decision before Jun 11, 2026. Eurozone inflation data—particularly core CPI releases—will influence expectations for rate paths. ECB communications, including speeches by President Christine Lagarde and policy-meeting minutes, often signal future moves. Geopolitical shocks, energy price swings, and US monetary policy divergence can alter euro dynamics and ECB urgency. Labour market reports, GDP growth revisions, and financial stability concerns may prompt repricing. Additionally, forward guidance from other central banks and global recession risk will shape traders' views on whether the ECB can afford to tighten or must hold. Each data release typically triggers sharp repricing on Polymarket.
