This event group contains two fundamentally different markets both labeled as Dogecoin price movements on June 13, 2026. Polymarket's market tracks whether Dogecoin price (via Chainlink DOGE/USD) closes higher or equal to its opening price during the 4:00PM-8:00PM ET window. Kalshi's market uses 40 discrete price bands based on the Ethereum Real-Time Index (ERTI) at 5:00PM EDT, which is an entirely different asset and measurement methodology.
This market will resolve to "Up" if the Dogecoin price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the DOGE/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/doge-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream DOGE/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
Resolution is based on the simple average of sixty seconds of CF Benchmarks' Ethereum Real-Time Index (ERTI) collected before 5 PM EDT on June 13, 2026. The official price is calculated by averaging all 60 RTI prices captured in the final minute before expiration. The price ranges are mutually exclusive and exhaustive, covering all possible price levels from below $890 to above $2,410. Each range outcome specifies both a lower and upper bound (e.g., $890-$929.99, $930-$969.99), and exactly one outcome will resolve Yes depending on which range contains the averaged price. CF Benchmarks' RTI is the authoritative price source for this determination.
Prediction market odds represent aggregated trader beliefs about directional movement, distinct from spot price itself. When odds lean heavily toward one outcome, traders are collectively pricing in higher conviction for that direction. Comparing this market's odds to current DOGE spot price and recent volatility can reveal whether the market is pricing in a move that spot traders haven't yet reflected. High odds don't guarantee price action; they signal where informed traders see risk-reward asymmetry most attractive.
Polymarket and Kalshi operate under different market-making models, user bases, and liquidity profiles. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Kalshi's regulated framework and Polymarket's decentralized structure can lead to varying fee structures, settlement timelines, and participant risk appetites. Arbitrage opportunities sometimes emerge when one platform prices the outcome higher than the other, though transaction costs and withdrawal friction often prevent full convergence. Monitoring both venues reveals where smart money is concentrating conviction.
Major catalysts include regulatory announcements affecting crypto broadly, Bitcoin volatility spikes that drag altcoins along, Elon Musk social media activity, and macroeconomic data releases during the window. On-chain metrics like whale accumulation or exchange inflows can shift trader positioning hours before the event. Technical levels and support/resistance zones matter; a break above or below key price points often triggers cascading position adjustments. News about Dogecoin adoption or competing meme coins can also influence directional conviction in the final hours.
