This event divides Dogecoin's price into specific ranges on June 18, 2026 at 5 PM EDT. Participants select which price band they believe DOGE will fall into, from below $0.01 up to $0.175 or above. The final price is determined by averaging 60 seconds of CF Benchmarks' Dogecoin Real-Time Index data collected just before 5 PM EDT.
Resolution is based on the 60-second average of CF Benchmarks' Dogecoin Real-Time Index (DOGEUSD_RTI) collected immediately before 5 PM EDT on June 18, 2026. The price is divided into mutually exclusive ranges, with each outcome covering a $0.005 band (e.g., $0.01–$0.0149999, $0.015–$0.0199999, etc.), plus outcomes for below $0.01 and $0.175 or above. Exactly one outcome resolves to Yes based on which range contains the 60-second average. CF Benchmarks' RTI is the authoritative price source; while other sources may provide reference points, only the official RTI average determines the outcome. The 60 RTI prices are collected in the final minute before expiration, and their simple average becomes the official and final value used for resolution.
Prediction market odds reflect what traders believe will occur, often diverging from current spot prices because they factor in volatility, upcoming catalysts, and longer-term sentiment. While spot exchanges show what DOGE costs right now, this market prices in expectations over a forward-looking window. Comparing the implied price range from prediction odds to analyst forecasts or on-chain metrics can reveal whether the crowd is pricing in bullish or bearish scenarios relative to consensus views.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each price range outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each range contract trades independently, and the combined probabilities of all ranges reflect the market's full price distribution. Tighter spreads and higher volume in a particular range indicate stronger conviction around that outcome, while wider spreads suggest uncertainty or lower participation in that segment.
This market resolves around Jun 18, 2026, at which point the actual Dogecoin price is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which price range DOGE falls into at that exact moment, and all shares corresponding to the correct range are paid out at full value while others expire worthless. Resolution is final once the price is confirmed and the winning range is locked in.
Major catalysts include regulatory announcements affecting cryptocurrency markets, macroeconomic shifts in risk sentiment, Bitcoin price movements (which often drive altcoin correlations), social media momentum, and any significant developments in blockchain adoption or Dogecoin's utility. Exchange listings, whale transactions, or shifts in retail interest can also trigger sharp repricing. Traders monitor on-chain metrics, funding rates, and broader crypto sentiment to anticipate directional moves before they're reflected in this market's odds.
