This event tracks the price of Dogecoin on June 17, 2026 at 5pm EDT within specific price ranges. Traders predict which price band Dogecoin will fall into at expiration.
Resolution is determined by the simple average of sixty seconds of CF Benchmarks' Dogecoin Real-Time Index (DOGEUSD_RTI) prices collected immediately before 5 PM EDT on June 17, 2026. Each outcome represents a specific price range; the market resolves to Yes for the outcome whose range contains the final averaged price. For instance, the '$0.01 to $0.0149999' outcome resolves Yes if the average falls between those bounds (inclusive of $0.01, exclusive of $0.015). CF Benchmarks' DOGEUSD_RTI is the official price source, not alternative platforms. Sixty individual RTI prices are sampled in the final minute before expiration, and their arithmetic mean determines which range applies.
Prediction market odds on this market reflect what traders collectively believe Dogecoin's price will be, which often diverges from current spot prices on exchanges. While spot markets react to immediate supply and demand, prediction odds incorporate forward-looking sentiment and longer-term positioning. If traders expect Dogecoin to appreciate over the coming months, odds on higher price brackets will rise relative to today's trading price. Comparing these implied probabilities to analyst forecasts and on-chain metrics can reveal whether the market is pricing in bullish or bearish scenarios relative to consensus views.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each price range outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each bracket has its own contract, and the price of a share reflects the probability traders assign to that range occurring. As new information emerges—regulatory news, adoption milestones, or macroeconomic shifts—traders adjust their bids and asks, moving the odds in real time. The spread between buy and sell prices narrows or widens based on conviction and liquidity at each price level.
This market resolves around Jun 17, 2026, at which point the outcome is determined by where Dogecoin actually trades at that specific time. The winning bracket is verified against credible public sources once the event timestamp passes. Traders holding shares in the correct price range receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The resolution is objective and final, leaving no room for dispute once the data is confirmed.
Major catalysts for this market include regulatory announcements affecting cryptocurrency trading, macroeconomic shifts in risk appetite, and Dogecoin-specific developments such as protocol upgrades or adoption news. Broader crypto market movements—Bitcoin volatility, stablecoin policy changes, or exchange listings—often ripple through altcoin prices. Social media momentum and celebrity endorsements have historically moved Dogecoin significantly. Additionally, traditional finance events like Federal Reserve decisions or inflation data can shift investor sentiment toward or away from speculative assets, influencing where traders expect DOGE to settle by the resolution date.
