This event divides Dogecoin's price on June 13, 2026 at 5pm EDT into specific price ranges using CF Benchmarks' Dogecoin Real-Time Index. Exactly one range outcome will resolve Yes based on where the averaged price falls.
Resolution is based on the simple average of sixty seconds of CF Benchmarks' Dogecoin Real-Time Index (DOGEUSD_RTI) collected before 5 PM EDT on June 13, 2026. The official price is calculated by averaging all 60 RTI prices captured in the final minute before expiration. The price ranges are mutually exclusive and exhaustive, covering all possible price levels from below $0.01 to above $0.175. Each range outcome specifies both a lower and upper bound (e.g., $0.01-$0.0149999, $0.015-$0.0199999), and exactly one outcome will resolve Yes depending on which range contains the averaged price. CF Benchmarks' RTI is the authoritative price source for this determination.
Prediction market odds often diverge from spot prices because they embed forward-looking sentiment and tail-risk premiums that spot markets may not fully price. While a cryptocurrency exchange shows the current traded price, this market reflects what traders collectively believe will occur at a future point, incorporating expectations about volatility, regulatory news, and macroeconomic shifts. Comparing the implied probabilities here to analyst forecasts and on-chain metrics can reveal whether the crowd is pricing in optimism or caution relative to consensus views.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each Dogecoin price range. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each range has its own contract, and the price of a share reflects the collective probability that outcome will occur. As traders submit bids and asks, the mid-market price updates continuously, allowing the platform to derive implied odds for every bracket. Liquidity and order flow directly influence how tight or wide the spreads are around each outcome.
This market resolves around Jun 13, 2026, at which point the outcome is confirmed once Dogecoin's price at that exact moment is verifiable from credible public sources. The winning range is determined by comparing the spot price at the settlement timestamp against the predefined brackets offered in the market. All shares corresponding to the correct range are paid out in full, while all other positions expire worthless. Resolution is final once the price data is locked in.
Major catalysts include regulatory announcements affecting cryptocurrency adoption, macroeconomic shifts in risk appetite, Bitcoin price movements (which often correlate with altcoin sentiment), and Dogecoin-specific developments such as protocol upgrades or high-profile endorsements. Market-wide events like Federal Reserve policy changes, inflation data, or geopolitical tensions can also reshape trader expectations about where DOGE will trade. Social media momentum and whale accumulation patterns may signal conviction shifts that push odds toward higher or lower price ranges as the settlement date approaches.
