Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect trader expectations about turnout, which may diverge from traditional polling averages. While polls measure stated voter intent through surveys, prediction markets aggregate financial incentives—traders profit only by accurately forecasting actual turnout. Market prices often incorporate real-time information about campaign momentum, weather, logistics, and voter enthusiasm that polls capture with a lag. Comparing Polymarket odds to published turnout forecasts from Colombian electoral analysts and international observers can reveal where markets see divergence from conventional expectations.
The Colombia Presidential Election Runoff: Turnout market resolves on Jun 22, 2026, following the official runoff election date. Resolution is determined by verified turnout figures released by Colombia's electoral authority, which measure the percentage or absolute number of eligible voters who cast ballots in the runoff. The specific turnout threshold or bracket that determines which outcome wins is established in the market's resolution criteria at creation. Traders should review the exact outcome definitions before trading to understand which turnout level corresponds to each available option.
Several catalysts could shift Polymarket odds before Jun 22, 2026. Major campaign events, candidate withdrawals, or endorsements may alter voter enthusiasm and expected participation. Security incidents, weather, or logistical disruptions could impact turnout projections. Polling releases on voter intent and early voting data will provide real-time signals. International attention or domestic political crises may energize or depress mobilization efforts. Media coverage of turnout expectations and get-out-the-vote campaigns by parties and civil society organizations will influence trader sentiment. Final pre-election surveys and early voting reports typically drive the largest price movements in the final weeks.
