Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the Close price for Coinbase Global, Inc. (COIN) on June 16, 2026 is higher than the Close price for Coinbase Global, Inc. (COIN) on the most recent prior trading day. This market will resolve to "Down" if the Close price for Coinbase Global, Inc. (COIN) on June 16, 2026 is lower than the Close price for Coinbase Global, Inc. (COIN) on the most recent prior trading day. E.g., ordinarily, a market on Monday would refer to the previous Friday for its most recent closing price, unless that Friday were a market holiday, in which case it would refer to Thursday, or the next most recent trading day. If the two specified closing prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve 50-50. Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Coinbase Global, Inc. (COIN) does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If either of the relevant days has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. Only prices achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange on which the listed security trades (typically 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET) will be considered. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.COIN%2FUSD. Historical 1-minute candles may be accessed by appending a Unix timestamp (seconds) to the Pyth chart URL using the "t=" parameter. Any timestamp within the listed market time frame may be used to view the relevant candle data (e.g., https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.COIN%2FUSD?t=1773432000).

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Coinbase stock price market dashboard tracks real-time odds and historical price movements for whether COIN will close higher or lower on June 16. The interface displays current implied probabilities, allowing traders to monitor shifting sentiment around Coinbase's stock direction. You can view order-book depth, recent trade activity, and cumulative volume to understand market liquidity and conviction. This dashboard serves as a live window into how prediction market participants are pricing the likelihood of an up or down outcome for that specific date.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they reflect real-money conviction rather than consensus estimates. While equity analysts typically issue longer-term ratings and price targets based on fundamental models, this market distills near-term directional sentiment into a single binary outcome. Traders betting on the June 16 close incorporate breaking news, earnings surprises, and intraday momentum that analysts may not immediately reflect. Comparing the implied probability here to Wall Street consensus can reveal whether the market is pricing in more bullish or bearish near-term catalysts than the broader analyst community.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker that adjusts prices based on order flow and liquidity. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability reflects the collective bets of all participants; as more capital flows into the Up or Down outcome, the odds shift in real time. Prices converge toward 0 or 100 as the June 16 close approaches and new information emerges. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market remains responsive to breaking developments affecting Coinbase's stock.

This market resolves around Jun 16, 2026, once the trading day concludes and Coinbase's closing price is finalized. The outcome is determined by whether COIN closes above or below its opening price on that date, verified against credible public sources such as official exchange data. Traders holding positions in the winning outcome receive their payout once the result is confirmed and the market is settled. The resolution is binary and objective, leaving no room for interpretation once the market close is official.

Earnings announcements, regulatory developments, and macroeconomic shifts can significantly move this market. Coinbase-specific catalysts—such as product launches, compliance updates, or executive commentary—often trigger sharp repricing. Broader crypto market sentiment, Bitcoin and Ethereum price action, and Federal Reserve policy signals also influence trader conviction around the stock's near-term direction. Intraday technical levels and options expiration activity on June 16 itself may create additional volatility. Monitoring financial news and on-chain metrics in the days leading up to resolution can help identify inflection points where odds shift materially.
