Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the Close price for Chevron (Pyth CVX/USD) on June 26, 2026 is strictly higher than the Close price for Chevron (Pyth CVX/USD) on June 18, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The Close price for Chevron (Pyth CVX/USD) captured on June 18, 2026, was $173.55550. Resolution source: Pyth CVX/USD price feed. Other exchanges, spot markets, and oracles will not be used. For example, a weekly Friday market would ordinarily compare that Friday's Close price with the previous Friday's Close price, unless that previous Friday was a market holiday. In that case, it would compare against Thursday's Close price, or the next most recent trading day. If Chevron (CVX) does not trade at all during the regular session on June 26, 2026, this market will resolve to "Down". For a standard full trading session, the Close price refers to the "Close" value of the 1-minute Pyth candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If either relevant trading day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the last valid Pyth price during that day's regular trading hours will be used as the effective Close price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which CVX is listed will be used to determine the Close price for that day. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting CVX during the relevant time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth.

Frequently asked questions

The Limitless dashboard for the Chevron weekly price movement market displays real-time odds on whether CVX will close the week higher or lower than its opening price. Traders can monitor the current probability assigned to each outcome, review historical price movements within the prediction market, and track trading activity to gauge market sentiment. This live data helps participants assess consensus expectations around Chevron's near-term directional momentum and adjust their positions accordingly as new information emerges.

Prediction markets and traditional analyst forecasts operate through different mechanisms. Analysts typically issue price targets and ratings based on fundamental research, while this market aggregates the collective judgment of traders who have real financial incentive to predict accurately. Prediction market odds often reflect faster incorporation of breaking news and market sentiment than published analyst reports. Comparing the implied probability here to consensus analyst views can reveal where the crowd sees asymmetric risk or opportunity in Chevron's weekly performance.

On Limitless, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader positions into real-time probabilities for each outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares representing "Up" or "Down" outcomes, and the cumulative order flow determines the odds displayed on the dashboard. As more capital flows toward one side, the probability shifts to reflect the new balance. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures that the market odds remain responsive to incoming information and trader conviction throughout the week.

This market resolves around Jun 26, 2026, when the weekly trading period closes. The outcome is determined by comparing Chevron's closing price at the end of the week to its opening price at the start of the period. Once the price action is verified against credible public sources, the market settles to either the "Up" or "Down" outcome accordingly. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless.

Several catalysts could shift odds in this market over the coming week. Earnings announcements, changes in crude oil prices, geopolitical developments affecting energy markets, and shifts in interest rates or the broader equity market can all influence Chevron's stock direction. Regulatory news, dividend announcements, or major contract wins or losses may also trigger repricing. Traders monitor macroeconomic data releases and energy sector news closely, as these often drive intraweek volatility and reshape expectations for the weekly close.
