Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the Close price for Chevron (Pyth CVX/USD) on June 18, 2026 is strictly higher than the Close price for Chevron (Pyth CVX/USD) on June 11, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The Close price for Chevron (Pyth CVX/USD) captured on June 11, 2026, was $185.80000. Resolution source: Pyth CVX/USD price feed. Other exchanges, spot markets, and oracles will not be used. For example, a weekly Friday market would ordinarily compare that Friday's Close price with the previous Friday's Close price, unless that previous Friday was a market holiday. In that case, it would compare against Thursday's Close price, or the next most recent trading day. If Chevron (CVX) does not trade at all during the regular session on June 18, 2026, this market will resolve to "Down". For a standard full trading session, the Close price refers to the "Close" value of the 1-minute Pyth candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If either relevant trading day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the last valid Pyth price during that day's regular trading hours will be used as the effective Close price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which CVX is listed will be used to determine the Close price for that day. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting CVX during the relevant time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth.

Frequently asked questions

On Limitless, the Chevron weekly price movement market dashboard tracks real-time odds and historical price data for whether CVX will move up or down over a weekly period. The interface displays current market probability, allowing traders to monitor sentiment shifts as new information about energy markets, crude oil trends, and company fundamentals emerge. This dashboard provides a transparent view of how prediction market participants are pricing directional movement in Chevron stock week to week, offering a snapshot of collective expectations distinct from traditional financial forecasts.

Prediction market odds and traditional analyst forecasts often diverge because they reflect different methodologies and incentives. Analysts typically publish price targets and ratings based on fundamental research and models, while prediction markets aggregate real-money bets from traders with direct financial exposure to outcomes. This market's odds represent what traders are willing to stake on weekly directional movement, which can incorporate faster-moving sentiment, technical signals, and market microstructure that formal equity research may lag. Both signals are valuable: analysts offer detailed reasoning, while market odds reveal concentrated conviction.

On Limitless, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome—Chevron up or down. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the probability traders assign to that outcome, with the sum of both probabilities equaling 100 percent. As traders place orders, the price adjusts dynamically to balance supply and demand. This continuous pricing model ensures that the market odds remain responsive to new information and evolving expectations about Chevron's weekly price direction.

This market resolves around Jun 18, 2026, at which point the outcome is confirmed based on verified price data for Chevron stock. The resolution hinges on whether CVX closes higher or lower at the end of the weekly period, with the result determined by credible public market sources. Once the weekly candle closes and the direction is established, the market settles and traders' positions are finalized according to the winning outcome.

Several catalysts can shift odds in this market before the weekly close. Earnings announcements, changes in crude oil prices, geopolitical developments affecting energy supply, and shifts in U.S. monetary policy all influence investor sentiment toward energy stocks. Chevron-specific news—such as production updates, dividend announcements, or regulatory developments—can trigger sharp repricing. Broader market volatility, sector rotation, and macroeconomic data releases also matter. Traders monitor these signals in real time, adjusting their positions as new information arrives, which drives continuous price discovery throughout the week.
