Major catalysts include campaign announcements, endorsements from San Diego County political figures, and debate performances. Shifts in statewide polling, fundraising reports, and media coverage of frontrunners typically ripple into county-level markets. Local issues such as housing, water, or border policy may resonate differently in San Diego than statewide. Candidate withdrawals or unexpected scandals can trigger sharp repricing. As primary day approaches, early voting data and final campaign pushes often accelerate price movement. Traders should monitor San Diego County news, candidate spending, and statewide momentum indicators closely.
