This market will resolve to "Up" if the BNB price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the BNB/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/bnb-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream BNB/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
Prediction market odds reflect collective trader expectations about BNB's direction during that specific four-hour window, which may differ from general spot price sentiment or analyst forecasts. While spot markets price BNB continuously based on supply and demand, this event market isolates a discrete time window and binary outcome. Comparing the prediction market probability to broader market sentiment, technical analysis, or analyst price targets can reveal whether traders are pricing in elevated volatility or specific catalysts expected around May 31st. The prediction market odds represent a crowd-sourced probability distinct from traditional price forecasting.
On Polymarket, the BNB Up or Down - May 31, 4:00PM-8:00PM ET event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the equilibrium price at which buyers and sellers meet, with each outcome priced as a percentage probability. Traders can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes, and the price adjusts dynamically based on order flow and market depth. Polymarket's automated market maker mechanism ensures continuous pricing and liquidity for both the up and down outcomes throughout the trading window.
The market resolves after Jun 1, 2026. The outcome is determined by whether BNB's price moves up or down during the specified four-hour window on May 31st, 4:00PM to 8:00PM ET. Resolution is based on the price comparison between the opening and closing of that window, with the direction of net movement determining which outcome is correct. Once the window closes and the final price is confirmed, the market settles and winning positions are credited accordingly.
Several catalysts could influence BNB's direction during that window. Regulatory announcements affecting Binance or the broader crypto sector, major Bitcoin or Ethereum price movements, macroeconomic data releases, or shifts in market sentiment around altcoins could all drive volatility. BNB-specific news such as exchange updates, token burns, or ecosystem developments may also impact price action. Broader crypto market events, liquidation cascades, or changes in trading volume patterns could create directional pressure. Traders should monitor news feeds, on-chain metrics, and technical levels leading up to May 31st to anticipate potential price drivers.
