Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds reflect trader conviction about Bitcoin's direction, often diverging from spot price momentum alone. While technical analysts and on-chain observers may focus on current price trends, this market aggregates forward-looking bets from a diverse participant base. The odds can signal whether the crowd expects mean reversion, continuation, or volatility-driven moves. Comparing these implied probabilities to your own price outlook or to analyst consensus can reveal where market expectations may be underpricing or overpricing directional risk on the settlement date.

On Predict, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers set bid and ask prices in real time. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability for Bitcoin moving up reflects the balance of buy and sell pressure at any moment. As new information emerges or trader sentiment shifts, prices adjust dynamically. This mechanism ensures that odds remain responsive to fresh data and market conditions, allowing traders to enter or exit positions at transparent, market-determined rates throughout the trading window.

This market resolves around Jun 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once Bitcoin's price movement on that date is verifiable from credible public sources. The resolution hinges on whether BTC closes higher or lower relative to its opening price on June 24, assessed against established financial data providers. Once the event is finalized and reported, the market settles automatically, and traders' positions are credited or debited according to the outcome. Early resolution is possible if the event occurs or is officially cancelled before the scheduled date.

Major catalysts for Bitcoin price direction include Federal Reserve policy announcements, macroeconomic data releases, regulatory developments, and large institutional flows. Geopolitical events, corporate earnings tied to crypto exposure, and shifts in on-chain metrics can also shift trader expectations. Technical breakouts or breakdowns near key support and resistance levels often trigger rapid repricing. Additionally, Bitcoin's correlation with equities and risk sentiment means broad market rallies or selloffs can influence directional bets. Monitoring these signals in real time helps traders anticipate how this market may evolve before settlement.
