This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect traders' collective belief about Bitcoin's directional movement by May 31, 9PM ET, which may differ from current spot price momentum or analyst forecasts. While spot price trends show recent price action, prediction markets incorporate forward-looking sentiment, risk appetite, and macro catalysts. Comparing Polymarket odds to traditional analyst price targets or on-chain metrics can reveal whether the market is pricing in more bullish or bearish momentum than consensus expectations. Divergences between prediction odds and spot price technicals often signal where informed traders see edge or mispricing.
The market resolves at Jun 1, 2026. At that time, the outcome is determined by Bitcoin's price direction relative to the reference point established at market creation. Traders who backed the correct outcome receive their payout, while those on the losing side forfeit their stake. The resolution is final once confirmed, and all positions settle accordingly. Until that moment, prices can fluctuate based on new information, technical developments, regulatory news, or macroeconomic shifts that influence Bitcoin's trajectory.
Several catalysts could shift odds on this event. Macroeconomic data—inflation reports, Federal Reserve policy signals, or geopolitical tensions—often drive Bitcoin directional moves. Regulatory announcements, spot ETF flows, or major exchange developments can trigger sharp repricing. On-chain metrics like whale accumulation, exchange inflows, or network activity may signal institutional conviction. Technical levels and support/resistance zones influence short-term momentum. Market sentiment shifts tied to risk-on or risk-off environments also matter. Each of these signals could cause traders on Polymarket to reassess probabilities, moving odds toward "Up" or "Down" as new information arrives before the May 31 deadline.
