This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds reflect traders' collective belief about Bitcoin's directional move, while spot price expectations derive from technical analysis, analyst forecasts, and on-chain metrics. The market odds on Polymarket may diverge from traditional analyst sentiment because prediction markets penalize incorrect forecasts with real financial loss, creating stronger incentive alignment. Comparing the implied probability here to consensus analyst views or technical support and resistance levels can reveal whether the crowd is more or less bullish than mainstream expectations.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing either an up or down outcome. Share prices range from 0 to 1 and directly reflect the implied probability; a price of 0.73 means the market assigns 73% probability to that outcome. As traders place orders, prices adjust in real time. You can enter or exit positions at any time before the May 31, 2026 resolution deadline, and your profit or loss depends on the final price movement and your entry price.
The market resolves at May 31, 2026. At that moment, Bitcoin's price direction is determined and the winning outcome is settled. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The exact price snapshot and data source used for resolution are specified in the market's terms; review those details on Polymarket to understand precisely how the up or down determination will be made.
Major catalysts include Federal Reserve policy announcements, inflation data releases, and macroeconomic sentiment shifts that typically drive risk-on or risk-off flows into crypto. Bitcoin-specific events such as large exchange inflows or outflows, regulatory news, and network upgrades can also trigger sharp moves. Geopolitical tensions, traditional market volatility, and statements from influential figures often correlate with Bitcoin price swings. Monitor economic calendars and crypto news closely in the days leading up to May 31 to anticipate potential directional pressure.
