Frequently asked questions

The PredictionHero dashboard tracks real-time odds and trading activity for the Bitcoin Up or Down - June 9, 12:00PM-4:00PM ET event on Polymarket. It displays the current probability that Bitcoin's price will move up or down during the specified four-hour window on June 9. The dashboard updates live odds, shows historical price movements within the prediction market, and provides 24-hour volume metrics to help you understand market sentiment and liquidity. This single-venue view lets you monitor how traders are positioning ahead of the resolution window and identify shifting confidence in either outcome.

Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect aggregated trader conviction about Bitcoin's directional move during the June 9 window, whereas spot price expectations are typically derived from technical analysis, analyst forecasts, or broader market sentiment surveys. Prediction markets price in real money and carry resolution risk, making them often more disciplined than casual sentiment polls. If Polymarket odds diverge significantly from analyst consensus or on-chain signals, it may signal either market inefficiency or information asymmetry. Comparing the two helps identify whether traders are pricing in catalysts or volatility that traditional forecasters have overlooked.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Bitcoin Up or Down - June 9, 12:00PM-4:00PM ET event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing either an up or down outcome. The current odds reflect the market's consensus probability, with share prices ranging from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100%). Traders profit by buying low and selling high, or by correctly predicting the outcome at resolution. Polymarket's automated market maker model ensures continuous liquidity, allowing real-time price discovery as new information emerges about Bitcoin's likely direction during that specific four-hour window.

The market resolves at Jun 9, 2026. Resolution is determined by Bitcoin's price movement during the specified four-hour window on June 9, from 12:00PM to 4:00PM ET. The outcome hinges on whether Bitcoin's closing price at 4:00PM ET is higher or lower than its opening price at 12:00PM ET. This narrow time window creates a focused event for traders betting on intraday volatility and directional bias rather than longer-term trends. The binary structure means only one outcome can occur, and all positions settle accordingly once the resolution criteria are met.

Several catalysts could influence Bitcoin's direction during the June 9 window. Macroeconomic announcements—such as Federal Reserve statements, inflation data, or employment reports—often trigger sharp intraday moves. Regulatory news or major institutional announcements about crypto adoption can shift sentiment rapidly. On-chain metrics like large whale transactions or exchange inflows may signal accumulation or distribution pressure. Technical levels and support/resistance zones established in the days leading up to June 9 will likely guide short-term traders. Geopolitical events, traditional market volatility, or unexpected security incidents could also create the volatility needed to push Bitcoin decisively up or down during that four-hour window.
