This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect traders' aggregate expectations of Bitcoin's directional move by June 8, 6AM ET, which may differ from current spot price momentum or technical analysis. While spot price reflects only the most recent transaction, prediction markets price in longer-term sentiment, regulatory news, and macroeconomic factors over the full event window. Comparing Polymarket odds to analyst forecasts and on-chain metrics can reveal whether the market is pricing in bullish or bearish catalysts ahead of the resolution date. Divergences often signal underpriced or overpriced outcomes.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing "Up" or "Down" outcomes. The market price of each share reflects the probability traders assign to that outcome, ranging from near 0 to near 100. As new information emerges—such as Bitcoin volatility spikes, regulatory announcements, or macroeconomic shifts—traders adjust their positions, moving the price. Liquidity and trading volume on Polymarket determine how quickly prices respond to new catalysts and how tight the bid-ask spread remains through June 8, 6AM ET.
Major catalysts include Federal Reserve policy announcements, inflation data, and geopolitical developments that affect risk appetite. Bitcoin-specific triggers include large exchange inflows or outflows, mining difficulty adjustments, and regulatory news from major jurisdictions. Technical levels and options expiry dates can also drive volatility. Macro sentiment shifts—such as equity market rallies or bond yield moves—often correlate with Bitcoin directional moves. Monitoring on-chain metrics, funding rates on derivatives exchanges, and social sentiment can help you anticipate price swings before the June 8, 6AM ET deadline.
