This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, the Bitcoin Up or Down - June 8, 12AM ET market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Shares representing each outcome (Bitcoin Up or Bitcoin Down) trade continuously, and the price of each reflects the probability assigned by the market. As traders accumulate positions ahead of the June 8 deadline, the odds shift to balance supply and demand. The current chance percentage displayed represents the implied probability of the Up outcome, with the Down outcome priced as the complement.
The market resolves on Jun 8, 2026. At that moment, the outcome is determined by Bitcoin's price movement relative to its starting level on the event date. Traders who correctly predicted the direction receive their payout, while those on the losing side forfeit their stake. The resolution is final once the market closes and settlement is confirmed on Polymarket, locking in all winnings and losses for the event.
Bitcoin's price action through June 8, 12AM ET can be influenced by macroeconomic announcements, Federal Reserve policy signals, regulatory news, and major institutional flows. Geopolitical events, corporate earnings that affect risk appetite, and shifts in inflation expectations often trigger directional moves. On-chain metrics such as large wallet transfers or exchange inflows may signal accumulation or distribution. Technical levels and support/resistance zones can also act as catalysts for momentum shifts. Monitoring these signals helps traders anticipate which way the market may lean as the resolution date approaches.
