This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, Bitcoin Up or Down - June 7, 8AM ET is priced as a binary contract where traders buy YES or NO shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of each share reflects the implied probability, ranging from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100%). As traders place orders, the automated market maker adjusts prices in real time. Higher trading volume typically narrows the bid-ask spread and increases price accuracy. The current odds on Polymarket reflect aggregated trader positions and recent order flow for this event.
Several catalysts could shift Bitcoin's direction before June 7, 8AM ET. Macroeconomic announcements—such as Federal Reserve policy signals, inflation data, or employment reports—often trigger crypto volatility. Regulatory news, major exchange listings, or security incidents can spark sharp moves. On-chain metrics like whale transactions and exchange inflows may signal accumulation or selling pressure. Technical levels and resistance zones also influence short-term momentum. Geopolitical events and traditional market sentiment (stock futures, bond yields) frequently correlate with Bitcoin's directional bias during this timeframe.
