This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, Bitcoin Up or Down - June 5, 9PM ET is priced as a binary outcome contract where traders buy and sell shares representing either an up or down movement. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the ratio of capital allocated to each outcome; as traders place orders, the price adjusts in real time. Polymarket uses an automated market maker model, so larger trades move the odds more significantly than smaller ones. Traders can enter or exit positions at any time before market resolution, and the final payout is determined by Bitcoin's actual price direction at the specified time on June 5.
Key catalysts include major macroeconomic announcements, Federal Reserve policy signals, and regulatory developments affecting cryptocurrency. Bitcoin's correlation with traditional markets means equity market volatility, inflation data, and interest rate expectations can significantly influence price direction. On-chain metrics such as large whale transactions, mining activity changes, and exchange inflows or outflows may also shift trader sentiment. Geopolitical events, corporate adoption news, and technical chart patterns near key support or resistance levels could trigger rapid directional moves. Monitoring these signals helps traders assess the probability of Bitcoin moving up or down by June 5, 9PM ET.
