This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Bitcoin Up or Down - June 5, 12PM ET contract is priced as a binary outcome: traders buy or sell shares representing either an up or down move by the June 5 deadline. The price of each outcome share reflects the implied probability, ranging from 0 to 100 cents. Liquidity pools and order books on Polymarket determine the spread and slippage; higher volume typically narrows the bid-ask gap. Traders can enter or exit positions continuously until resolution, and the final settlement price is determined by the outcome that occurs at 12PM ET on June 5.
The Bitcoin Up or Down - June 5, 12PM ET market resolves on Jun 5, 2026. The outcome is determined by Bitcoin's price movement at the specified time and reference point. Traders holding winning shares receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. The exact resolution criteria—such as the price source, rounding rules, and tie-breaking logic—are defined in the market's terms at creation. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the deadline, after data is confirmed and any disputes are settled through the platform's standard process.
Bitcoin's price direction by June 5, 12PM ET could be influenced by macroeconomic announcements, Federal Reserve policy signals, or major regulatory developments affecting crypto markets. Institutional adoption news, large exchange inflows or outflows, and shifts in on-chain whale activity often trigger sharp moves. Geopolitical events, traditional market volatility, and Bitcoin-specific technical breakouts or breakdowns can also sway sentiment. Network upgrades, mining difficulty adjustments, and spot or futures market liquidations may create short-term volatility. Monitoring these catalysts alongside Polymarket order flow helps traders anticipate directional shifts before June 5.
