This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, the Bitcoin Up or Down - June 5, 12AM ET market is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the implied probability; a share trading at 0.65 implies a 65% chance of that outcome occurring by resolution. Liquidity and order flow on Polymarket determine how tightly bid-ask spreads trade, affecting slippage for larger positions. As the June 5 deadline approaches, prices typically tighten and volatility may increase if new information emerges about Bitcoin's likely direction.
The Bitcoin Up or Down - June 5, 12AM ET market resolves on Jun 5, 2026. At that moment, the outcome is determined by Bitcoin's price movement relative to a reference level established at market creation. Traders who correctly predicted the direction receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution occurs automatically once the reference price is finalized at the specified time. This binary structure makes the event straightforward: either Bitcoin moves up or down, with no partial outcomes or ambiguity at the resolution timestamp.
Several catalysts could shift Bitcoin's direction by June 5, 12AM ET. Federal Reserve policy announcements, inflation data, and broader risk sentiment typically drive macro moves. Regulatory developments—especially around spot Bitcoin ETFs or custody rules—can trigger sharp repricing. On-chain metrics like exchange inflows, whale accumulation, and mining activity signal institutional conviction. Geopolitical events and traditional market stress (equities, bonds, USD strength) often correlate with Bitcoin volatility. Technical levels and options expiry dates may also influence short-term momentum. Monitoring these signals helps traders anticipate which way prediction market odds might shift before resolution.
