This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect traders' collective belief about Bitcoin's direction by June 3, 9PM ET, which may differ from spot price analysis or technical forecasts. While spot price expectations focus on current market momentum and chart patterns, prediction markets incorporate longer-term sentiment, macro catalysts, and risk appetite. Comparing the implied probability from Polymarket to analyst price targets or on-chain signals can reveal whether the crowd is pricing in more bullish or bearish scenarios than traditional indicators suggest. This divergence often highlights where smart money sees opportunity.
On Polymarket, the Bitcoin Up or Down - June 3, 9PM ET event is priced as two opposing outcomes: Bitcoin up or Bitcoin down by the resolution time. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares in each outcome, with the price of each share reflecting the crowd's probability estimate. As new information arrives—regulatory news, macroeconomic data, or Bitcoin technical levels—traders adjust positions, moving prices up or down. The market price directly converts to implied probability, so a share trading at 0.65 means the crowd assigns roughly 65% odds to that outcome.
Several catalysts could shift Bitcoin's direction before June 3, 9PM ET. Federal Reserve policy announcements, inflation data, or shifts in risk sentiment can trigger broad crypto moves. Bitcoin-specific events—major exchange inflows or outflows, whale transactions, or regulatory headlines—often spark sharp volatility. Macro risk-off environments typically pressure Bitcoin down, while risk-on sentiment and institutional adoption news tend to push it up. Technical levels, options expiry dates, and derivative liquidation cascades can also accelerate moves. Monitoring these signals helps traders anticipate directional shifts and adjust positions accordingly.
