This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect traders' collective belief about Bitcoin's directional move by June 3, 1AM ET, which may differ from current spot price sentiment or analyst forecasts. While spot markets price Bitcoin's immediate value, prediction markets embed expectations about volatility, macroeconomic catalysts, and sentiment shifts over the event window. Comparing Polymarket odds to analyst consensus or social media sentiment can reveal whether the market is pricing in more bullish or bearish conviction than the broader crypto community currently expresses.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Bitcoin Up or Down - June 3, 1AM ET event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. The price of each share reflects the implied probability; a share trading at 0.65 implies a 65% chance of that outcome occurring. Liquidity and order flow on Polymarket determine how quickly prices move in response to new information. As the June 3, 1AM ET resolution time approaches, prices typically converge toward either 0 or 1 based on realized Bitcoin price action and market certainty.
Key catalysts include Federal Reserve policy announcements, inflation data releases, and major macroeconomic news that typically drive risk-on or risk-off sentiment in crypto markets. Bitcoin-specific events such as large exchange inflows or outflows, regulatory statements, or major institutional moves can also shift directional expectations. Technical levels and support or resistance zones may trigger algorithmic trading. Geopolitical developments and traditional market volatility (equities, bonds, commodities) often correlate with Bitcoin moves. Traders monitoring these signals may adjust positions on Polymarket as new information emerges before the June 3 deadline.
