This market will resolve to "Up" if the Bitcoin price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the BTC/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/btc-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream BTC/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
Prediction market odds reflect aggregated trader expectations about Bitcoin's directional movement during that specific four-hour window. Unlike spot price, which measures current Bitcoin value, these odds quantify the probability of an up or down move. Traders on Polymarket incorporate technical analysis, volatility forecasts, and macroeconomic signals into their positions. Comparing prediction market probabilities to analyst price targets or on-chain sentiment can reveal whether the crowd is more or less bullish than traditional market forecasters on that particular timeframe.
The market resolves at Jun 3, 2026. Resolution is determined by Bitcoin's price movement during the specified four-hour window on June 3, from 12:00AM to 4:00AM ET. The outcome depends on whether Bitcoin's price at the end of that period is higher or lower than its price at the start. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing shares expire worthless. The exact resolution criteria and data source are specified in the market's terms at the time of trading.
Several catalysts could influence Bitcoin's direction during that four-hour window. Macroeconomic announcements, Federal Reserve communications, or major regulatory news released before or during the window could trigger sharp moves. On-chain activity, large exchange transfers, or whale transactions may signal accumulation or distribution. Technical levels and support/resistance zones matter for short-term price action. Geopolitical developments, corporate earnings, or unexpected market shocks could also shift sentiment. Traders monitor these signals closely to adjust their positions before the June 3 window opens.
