Frequently asked questions

The Bitcoin price movement market dashboard on Polymarket tracks real-time odds and historical price data for the Bitcoin price movement market during the specified four-hour window. Traders can monitor the current implied probability of Bitcoin moving up or down, view 24-hour volume activity, and observe how sentiment shifts as the event window approaches. The dashboard displays live order book depth, recent trade history, and key statistics that reflect how the crowd is pricing directional exposure to Bitcoin's near-term price action.

Prediction market odds reflect aggregated trader conviction about Bitcoin's direction and often diverge from spot price momentum alone. While technical analysts and on-chain observers may focus on recent price action and volatility, this market prices in broader sentiment, funding rates, and macro catalysts that traders believe will drive movement during the window. The odds can signal whether the crowd expects mean reversion, breakout continuation, or consolidation—offering a contrarian lens to traditional price-based forecasting.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker mechanism, where buying up or down shares directly moves the price. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome is priced as a percentage probability between 0 and 100, and traders profit by correctly predicting which direction Bitcoin moves during the event window. The market's price discovery reflects real-time supply and demand, with larger trades moving the odds more significantly than smaller ones.

This market resolves around Jun 30, 2026, once the four-hour event window closes and Bitcoin's price movement can be verified. The outcome is confirmed by comparing the Bitcoin price at the start of the window to the price at the end, with the result verified against credible public sources. Whichever direction—up or down—is recorded as the official outcome determines which traders are paid out.

Major catalysts include Federal Reserve statements, inflation data releases, or significant crypto regulatory news that could shift risk appetite. Bitcoin's correlation with equity futures, sudden moves in traditional markets, and large on-chain transactions or exchange flows can also trigger sharp repricing. Geopolitical developments, central bank policy surprises, or technical breakouts through key resistance levels may accelerate volatility during the window, causing traders to rapidly adjust their positions.
