Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Bitcoin price movement market dashboard displays real-time odds for whether Bitcoin's price will move up or down by the June 28, 6PM ET deadline. Traders can monitor the current probability implied by market prices, historical price movements within this market, and recent trading activity. The dashboard provides a transparent snapshot of how participants are pricing this directional bet, updated continuously as new trades execute. This lets you see at a glance whether the crowd is leaning bullish or bearish on Bitcoin's near-term direction.

Prediction market odds reflect what traders collectively believe will happen, which often diverges from spot price alone. While Bitcoin's current price is a snapshot of the most recent transaction, this market captures forward-looking sentiment about directional movement over a specific window. Prediction markets tend to incorporate broader information—news, technical analysis, macro conditions—that spot price alone does not convey. Comparing the implied odds here to your own view of upcoming catalysts can reveal whether the market is pricing in optimism or caution relative to your expectations.

This market resolves around Jun 28, 2026, at which point the outcome is confirmed based on Bitcoin's verified price movement during the specified window. The result will be determined once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting of Bitcoin's price action. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing shares expire worthless. The exact mechanics ensure a clear, objective settlement tied to real market data.

Major catalysts that could shift odds include regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data releases, central bank statements, or significant on-chain activity. Geopolitical developments, corporate or institutional Bitcoin adoption news, and technical breakouts or breakdowns can all trigger rapid repricing. Market-wide volatility spikes, changes in traditional asset correlations, or shifts in sentiment on social media and trading forums often precede price swings. Monitoring these signals in real time helps traders anticipate how this market may evolve before the June 28 deadline.
