On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The Bitcoin Up or Down market uses an automated market maker model where the price of each outcome adjusts based on order flow and liquidity. If more traders buy Bitcoin Up shares, the price rises and the implied probability increases; conversely, selling pressure lowers it. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures this market reflects the latest sentiment in real time, with the current odds visible on the order book and trade history.
This market resolves around Jun 25, 2026, once the four-hour trading window closes and Bitcoin's price movement can be verified. The outcome is determined by comparing Bitcoin's price at the start of the window (8:00 AM ET on June 25) to its price at the close (12:00 PM ET). If the closing price is higher, the Bitcoin Up outcome wins; if lower or flat, Bitcoin Down prevails. Resolution is confirmed once the price data is verifiable from credible public sources, ensuring a fair and transparent settlement for all traders.
Several catalysts could shift odds before the market closes. Macroeconomic announcements—such as inflation data, Federal Reserve statements, or employment reports—often trigger intraday Bitcoin volatility. Regulatory news, major exchange outages, or large institutional trades can also sway sentiment rapidly. Technical levels and support/resistance zones matter for short-term price action. Additionally, geopolitical developments or shifts in risk appetite across equities and commodities may influence Bitcoin's direction during this specific four-hour window. Real-time news flow and on-chain metrics will likely drive trader positioning and odds adjustments right up until settlement.
