Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Bitcoin price movement market dashboard displays real-time odds for whether Bitcoin's price will move up or down by the June 25 deadline at 12PM ET. Traders can monitor the current probability implied by market prices, review historical price movements within this market, and observe trading activity. The dashboard provides a transparent view of how participants are pricing the outcome, updated continuously as new trades execute. This allows you to track sentiment and conviction around Bitcoin's directional movement leading up to the event.

Prediction market odds reflect what traders collectively believe will happen, which often diverges from spot price alone. While spot price shows Bitcoin's current market value, this market captures forward-looking expectations about directional movement over a specific timeframe. Traders incorporate technical analysis, macroeconomic signals, and event risk into their positions, creating odds that may differ from what passive price observation suggests. Comparing the implied probability here to analyst forecasts and on-chain metrics can reveal whether the market is pricing in consensus views or contrarian positioning.

On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker mechanism where buying either outcome shifts the odds in real time. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more capital flowing into one side, the higher its price climbs toward 100 cents, while the opposing outcome declines. This continuous pricing model ensures liquidity and allows participants to enter or exit positions at transparent, market-determined rates. The spread between bid and ask reflects current trading interest and available depth on each side of the outcome.

This market resolves around Jun 25, 2026, once the event occurs and the outcome is verifiable from credible public sources. The resolution hinges on whether Bitcoin's price has moved up or down relative to its starting point at the specified time. Once the event passes and data is confirmed, the winning outcome is locked in and traders receive payouts accordingly. Early resolution is possible if the outcome becomes mathematically certain before the deadline.

Major catalysts include Federal Reserve policy announcements, macroeconomic data releases, and regulatory developments affecting cryptocurrency. Geopolitical events, corporate Bitcoin adoption news, and shifts in institutional sentiment can also drive significant repricing. Technical breakouts or breakdowns on Bitcoin's chart may trigger momentum trading. On-chain metrics such as exchange flows or whale accumulation patterns often influence trader conviction. Market-moving news from major economies or unexpected volatility in traditional markets can quickly shift the odds as participants reassess directional risk.
