Frequently asked questions

The Bitcoin price movement market dashboard on Predict tracks real-time odds and trading activity for the Bitcoin price movement market, which resolves based on whether Bitcoin's price moves up or down by Jun 24, 2026. The interface displays current probabilities for each outcome, historical price charts showing how trader sentiment has shifted, and 24-hour volume metrics that reflect the level of participation and conviction among predictors. These data points help traders gauge market consensus and identify potential trading opportunities as new information emerges.

Prediction market odds reflect aggregated trader expectations about Bitcoin's directional movement and often diverge from spot price momentum alone. While technical analysts and spot traders focus on recent price action and chart patterns, this market incorporates forward-looking sentiment from a diverse set of participants betting real capital on the outcome. The odds can signal whether the crowd expects continuation or reversal, providing a complementary perspective to traditional price analysis and helping traders calibrate their conviction relative to market-wide views.

On Predict, traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome, with the market price determined by continuous order flow and supply-demand dynamics. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The odds you see reflect the current equilibrium price—higher prices indicate stronger collective belief in that outcome. As new information surfaces or trader sentiment shifts, the price adjusts in real time, allowing participants to enter or exit positions throughout the trading window and locking in gains or losses based on their timing and conviction.

This market resolves around Jun 24, 2026, at which point the outcome is confirmed based on Bitcoin's verified price movement during the specified window. The resolution hinges on whether the price has moved up or down relative to the opening level, with the determination made once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless.

Major catalysts that could shift odds include macroeconomic announcements affecting risk appetite, regulatory developments or statements from central banks, significant on-chain activity or whale transactions, and broader equity or commodity market movements. Technical levels and support-resistance zones may also trigger algorithmic trading or stop-loss cascades. Geopolitical events, corporate adoption news, or shifts in institutional sentiment toward digital assets can rapidly reshape trader expectations, causing sharp repricing in this market as participants adjust their positions in response to new information.
