This market will resolve to "Up" if the Bitcoin price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the BTC/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/btc-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream BTC/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary outcome contract with two sides: Bitcoin Up or Bitcoin Down during the June 2nd, 8:00PM–12:00AM ET window. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome, and the current market price of each share reflects the probability assigned by active traders. The odds shown represent the implied likelihood of each outcome based on the order book and recent trades. As the event window approaches, prices typically tighten and volatility may increase, reflecting real-time price action and trader conviction about which direction Bitcoin will move.
The market resolves after Jun 3, 2026, once the four-hour trading window closes at midnight ET on June 2nd. Resolution is determined by Bitcoin's price movement during that specific window. The outcome depends on whether Bitcoin's price at the end of the window is higher or lower than its price at the start of the window at 8:00PM ET. Once the window closes, the final price data is recorded and the market settles according to the predetermined outcome criteria, paying out winning traders and closing all open positions.
Several catalysts could influence Bitcoin's direction during this four-hour window. Macroeconomic announcements, Federal Reserve communications, or major regulatory news could trigger sharp moves. Cryptocurrency-specific events such as large exchange transfers, whale wallet activity, or significant protocol updates may also impact price. Market-wide sentiment shifts driven by traditional finance volatility, geopolitical developments, or shifts in risk appetite can move Bitcoin quickly. Technical levels and support/resistance zones may attract algorithmic trading. Additionally, unexpected news from major Bitcoin holders, mining developments, or statements from influential figures in crypto could create sudden momentum in either direction during the window.
