This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect traders' collective belief about Bitcoin's direction by June 2, 1PM ET, which may differ from current spot price momentum or technical analysis. While spot price expectations focus on near-term chart patterns and volatility, prediction markets incorporate longer-term sentiment, regulatory news, and macroeconomic factors. The market odds serve as a real-money consensus forecast, often more reliable than polls or analyst calls because traders have financial skin in the game. Comparing the two reveals whether the market is pricing in upside or downside risk beyond what spot technicals suggest.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing "Bitcoin Up" or "Bitcoin Down" outcomes. The current odds reflect the cumulative trading activity and liquidity on each side. Prices move in real time as new orders flow in, with the spread between bid and ask widening or tightening based on volume and uncertainty. Traders profit if their chosen outcome occurs at the specified time, incentivizing accurate price discovery. The market's depth and 24-hour volume indicate how confident and active the trading community is about this directional bet.

The market resolves on Jun 2, 2026, at which point the outcome is determined by Bitcoin's price direction at the specified time. Resolution occurs after the market closes and the final price snapshot is recorded. Until that moment, traders can continue to buy and sell shares, allowing positions to be adjusted or exited. The binary nature means only one outcome will be correct, and all shares of the winning outcome will be worth their full value while losing shares expire worthless. This fixed endpoint creates urgency and encourages traders to finalize their positions before the deadline.

Bitcoin's direction by June 2, 1PM ET could be influenced by macroeconomic data releases, Federal Reserve policy signals, and regulatory announcements affecting cryptocurrency. Major corporate or institutional adoption news, geopolitical developments, and shifts in traditional market sentiment (equities, bonds, dollar strength) often correlate with Bitcoin moves. Technical levels and options expiry dates can also trigger volatility. On-chain metrics such as whale transactions or exchange inflows may signal accumulation or distribution. Market-specific catalysts include Bitcoin network upgrades, mining difficulty adjustments, and competing altcoin performance. Traders monitor these signals continuously to adjust their odds and positions leading up to the June 2 deadline.
