Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Bitcoin price movement market dashboard displays real-time odds for whether Bitcoin will move up or down by the scheduled event time. Prediction market odds often diverge from spot price forecasts because they reflect collective trader conviction rather than technical analysis alone. While spot price expectations may rely on chart patterns or momentum indicators, this market aggregates real money bets from participants with varying time horizons and information. The odds here represent an incentivized consensus on directional movement within a specific timeframe, making them a distinct signal from traditional price analysis or analyst sentiment.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares that represent each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the probability participants assign to that outcome occurring. As traders place orders, the market price adjusts in real time, with the spread between bid and ask prices tightening or widening based on liquidity and conviction. This continuous price discovery mechanism ensures the odds remain responsive to new information and shifting sentiment.

This market resolves around Jun 13, 2026, once the event window closes and the Bitcoin price movement can be verified. The outcome is confirmed against credible public sources to determine whether the price moved in the predicted direction. Resolution occurs after sufficient time has passed for the event to settle and data to be finalized, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all participants.

Major catalysts include macroeconomic announcements, Federal Reserve policy shifts, regulatory news affecting cryptocurrency markets, and significant on-chain activity or technical breakouts. Geopolitical developments, corporate adoption announcements, or changes in institutional sentiment can also drive sharp repricing. Intraday volatility spikes, options expiry events, or large liquidations in leveraged positions may create sudden momentum shifts. Monitoring these signals helps traders anticipate directional moves before the market settles.
