Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Bitcoin price movement market dashboard displays real-time odds reflecting trader expectations for Bitcoin's directional move during the specified four-hour window on June 13. The interface shows current market prices, historical price charts, and trading volume data that reveal how active participants are positioning themselves on either outcome. This dashboard lets you monitor shifting sentiment as new information emerges, giving a live snapshot of collective prediction strength around whether Bitcoin will move up or down during that session.

Prediction market odds reflect real money at stake, making them a forward-looking gauge of trader conviction that often differs from spot price alone. While traditional price charts show historical movement, this market captures probabilistic expectations about a specific future event. Traders betting on directional movement incorporate news, technical signals, and macro sentiment into their positions. The odds can diverge from what casual observers might expect, since only committed participants with skin in the game shape the final odds. This makes the market a useful counterpoint to analyst forecasts or social media sentiment.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares representing each outcome, with prices determined by an automated market maker or order book mechanism. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share costs between $0 and $1, and the combined price of complementary outcomes equals $1 at settlement. Your position's value fluctuates as other traders adjust their bets, allowing you to exit early or hold through the resolution window. This continuous pricing model ensures transparent, real-time odds that reflect the latest information available to the trading community.

This market resolves around Jun 13, 2026, once the four-hour trading window closes and Bitcoin's price movement can be verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing Bitcoin's price at the start of the window to its price at the close, establishing whether the net direction was up or down. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the window's end, after sufficient time for price data to settle and be confirmed. Traders who backed the correct outcome receive their winnings proportional to their stake.

Major catalysts include Federal Reserve announcements, macroeconomic data releases, regulatory news affecting crypto, and significant Bitcoin whale transactions or exchange flows. Technical breakouts or breakdowns at key support and resistance levels often trigger sharp repricing. Geopolitical events, corporate earnings that signal risk appetite, or sudden shifts in traditional market volatility can also sway Bitcoin sentiment. Social media momentum and derivatives market positioning sometimes amplify moves in the final hours before the window closes, so staying alert to breaking news helps traders adjust positions ahead of resolution.
