Frequently asked questions

The Bitcoin price movement market dashboard on Polymarket tracks real-time odds and historical price data for the Bitcoin price movement market during the specified four-hour window. Traders use this interface to buy and sell shares representing their conviction that Bitcoin will move up or down by market close. The dashboard displays current bid-ask spreads, cumulative trading volume, and a price history chart so participants can monitor how sentiment has shifted throughout the event window and make informed trading decisions.

Prediction market odds reflect the collective belief of traders placing real money on outcomes, often diverging from spot price momentum alone. While traditional technical analysis might focus on intraday price action and volatility, this market aggregates forward-looking conviction across many participants. Odds here can signal whether the crowd expects a directional move beyond normal trading ranges, offering a complementary signal to analyst forecasts and on-chain metrics. Comparing the implied probability to your own conviction helps identify potential value.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares of each outcome, with the price of each share reflecting the implied probability of that result. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more capital flowing into one side, the higher its price rises and the lower the opposing outcome trades. This continuous price discovery mechanism means odds update in real time as new information emerges or trader sentiment shifts, ensuring the market remains responsive to breaking news and technical developments throughout the event window.

This market resolves around Jun 13, 2026, once the event window closes and the Bitcoin price movement can be verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing the closing price at the end of the specified period to the opening price at the start, establishing whether Bitcoin moved up or down during that interval. Resolution typically occurs within hours of market close, after which traders receive payouts based on their position and the confirmed result.

Major catalysts include regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data releases, central bank communications, and large institutional trades that could shift Bitcoin sentiment within the four-hour window. Technical levels and support or resistance zones may trigger algorithmic buying or selling. Breaking news about crypto policy, security incidents, or significant market moves in equities or commodities can also drive rapid repricing. Traders monitor social media, news feeds, and on-chain metrics to anticipate volatility and adjust positions accordingly before the close.
