Major catalysts include Federal Reserve policy announcements, inflation data, and macroeconomic sentiment, all of which typically drive Bitcoin volatility. Regulatory news—such as SEC guidance on crypto assets or government crackdowns—can trigger sharp directional moves. On-chain metrics like whale transactions, exchange inflows, and mining activity may signal accumulation or distribution. Technical levels and support/resistance zones also matter; a break above or below key price points can accelerate momentum. Geopolitical events and traditional market stress can push Bitcoin either direction as investors seek safe havens or risk-on exposure.
