This market will resolve to "Up" if the Bitcoin price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the BTC/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/btc-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream BTC/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect traders' collective expectations about Bitcoin's directional movement during the June 11 window, independent of current spot price. While spot price shows Bitcoin's real-time value, prediction odds incorporate forward-looking sentiment, volatility expectations, and event risk. Comparing the market's implied probability to analyst forecasts or technical analysis can reveal whether traders are pricing in more bullish or bearish momentum than traditional indicators suggest. This divergence often highlights unique market insights unavailable from spot price alone.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary outcome contract where traders buy shares representing either Bitcoin Up or Bitcoin Down during the 12:00AM–4:00AM ET window on June 11. Share prices range from $0 to $1, with the current market probability reflected in the bid-ask spread. Traders profit by purchasing undervalued outcomes and selling overvalued ones. Liquidity and volume on Polymarket determine how easily you can enter or exit positions at competitive prices throughout the event window.
The market resolves at Jun 11, 2026, marking the end of the four-hour observation window. Resolution is determined by Bitcoin's price movement during the specified period on June 11. The outcome depends on whether Bitcoin's price at the close of the window is higher or lower than its price at the open, establishing a clear directional result. Once the window closes and price data is finalized, the market settles and winning shares are paid out accordingly.
Several catalysts could influence Bitcoin's direction during this four-hour window. Macroeconomic announcements, Federal Reserve communications, or major financial news released during or just before the window could trigger volatility. Cryptocurrency-specific events such as regulatory developments, exchange outages, or large institutional trades may also impact price. Market sentiment shifts driven by social media, analyst commentary, or broader risk-on or risk-off sentiment in equities can accelerate Bitcoin movement. Monitoring these signals helps traders anticipate directional pressure before the market resolves.
