This market will resolve to "Up" if the Bitcoin price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the BTC/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/btc-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream BTC/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect traders' collective belief about Bitcoin's direction during the June 1st window, while spot price expectations derive from technical analysis, analyst forecasts, and on-chain metrics. Market odds aggregate real-money bets and incentivize accuracy, often capturing sentiment faster than traditional analyst consensus. Divergences between Polymarket odds and analyst price targets can signal either market inefficiency or emerging information that analysts have not yet incorporated. Comparing these two signals helps traders identify potential mispricings or validate directional conviction.
On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary outcome: traders buy or sell shares representing either an up or down move during the June 1st, 8:00AM–12:00PM ET window. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the probability assigned by the market, with shares trading between 0 and 1 dollar. As traders adjust positions based on new information—volatility forecasts, macroeconomic data, or Bitcoin technicals—the price discovery process continuously updates the implied probability. Liquidity and order flow on Polymarket determine how quickly prices adjust to new information.
The market resolves on Jun 1, 2026. Resolution is determined by Bitcoin's price movement during the specified four-hour window on June 1st, 8:00AM–12:00PM ET. The outcome depends on whether Bitcoin closes higher or lower at the end of that window compared to its opening price at 8:00AM ET. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout once the market settles and the result is confirmed.
Key catalysts include macroeconomic data releases (inflation reports, Fed commentary, employment figures), regulatory announcements affecting crypto markets, and major corporate or institutional Bitcoin news. Technical levels and support/resistance zones can trigger algorithmic trading and momentum shifts. Geopolitical events, traditional market volatility, and shifts in risk sentiment also influence Bitcoin's intraday direction. On-chain metrics such as large wallet movements or exchange flows may signal accumulation or distribution pressure. Volatility spikes in equities or commodities during the morning window could drive flight-to-safety or risk-on rotations affecting Bitcoin's four-hour performance.
