This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Bitcoin Up or Down - June 1, 4PM ET event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. The current market price reflects the probability traders assign to Bitcoin moving up versus down by the June 1, 4PM ET snapshot. Prices range from 0 to 1, where higher prices indicate stronger conviction in that outcome. Liquidity and order-book depth on Polymarket determine how easily traders can enter or exit positions, with tighter spreads indicating higher confidence in the market's pricing.
The Bitcoin Up or Down - June 1, 4PM ET market resolves on Jun 1, 2026. At that moment, the outcome is determined by comparing Bitcoin's price at the specified time against the reference level established at market creation. Traders who correctly predicted the direction receive their winnings, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The resolution is final once the snapshot time passes and the price direction is confirmed, closing all open positions in the market.
Major catalysts for Bitcoin price direction include Federal Reserve policy announcements, inflation data releases, and macroeconomic sentiment shifts. Regulatory news—particularly from the SEC or international bodies—can trigger sharp directional moves. On-chain metrics like exchange inflows and whale accumulation patterns signal institutional conviction. Geopolitical events and traditional market volatility often correlate with Bitcoin's performance. Technical levels and options expiry dates can amplify momentum. Traders monitor these signals continuously to adjust their positions, which is why odds on Polymarket fluctuate as new information emerges before the June 1 deadline.
