Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the BTC/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/btc-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream BTC/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect aggregated trader expectations about Bitcoin's directional movement during the June 1st window, which may differ from current spot price levels or analyst forecasts. While spot prices represent immediate market valuations, prediction odds incorporate forward-looking sentiment and uncertainty about volatility within that specific four-hour period. Comparing the market's implied probability to traditional technical analysis or macro forecasts can reveal whether traders expect unusual price action or stability. This divergence often signals where informed traders see opportunity or risk.
On Polymarket, the Bitcoin Up or Down - June 1, 4:00AM-8:00AM ET event is priced as a binary contract reflecting the probability of an upward or downward move during the specified window. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome, with prices ranging from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100%), where higher prices indicate greater confidence in that outcome. The current odds reflect the collective assessment of all market participants. Liquidity and order-book depth on Polymarket determine how easily traders can enter or exit positions at competitive prices.
The market resolves on Jun 1, 2026. Resolution is determined by Bitcoin's price movement during the specified four-hour window on June 1st, from 4:00AM to 8:00AM ET. The outcome hinges on whether the closing price at 8:00AM ET is higher or lower than the opening price at 4:00AM ET. This narrow time window captures intraday volatility and overnight trading dynamics, making the event sensitive to early-morning news, economic data releases, or global market opens that occur during these hours.
Several catalysts could influence Bitcoin's direction during the June 1st window. Macroeconomic data releases scheduled for early morning hours, Federal Reserve communications, or major geopolitical developments could trigger sharp moves. Cryptocurrency-specific news—such as regulatory announcements, large exchange flows, or institutional positioning changes—often drives volatility. Bitcoin's correlation with traditional markets means stock futures and bond yields during Asian and European trading sessions may set tone. Additionally, technical levels, options expiry dynamics, and whale accumulation or distribution patterns visible on-chain can signal directional bias heading into the event window.
