Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, Bitcoin Up or Down - June 1, 3PM ET is priced as two complementary outcomes: Up and Down. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy shares in whichever direction they expect, and the price of each outcome reflects its implied probability. If Up shares trade at a higher price, the market expects Bitcoin to rise by the deadline. Polymarket uses an automated market maker model, so prices adjust continuously as volume flows in. The spread between Up and Down prices tightens as more capital enters the market, improving price discovery for this event.

Several catalysts could shift Bitcoin's direction before June 1, 3PM ET. Macroeconomic announcements—such as Federal Reserve policy, inflation data, or employment reports—often trigger broad crypto moves. Regulatory news, major exchange hacks, or institutional adoption milestones can spark volatility. On-chain metrics like exchange inflows, whale transactions, and mining activity influence sentiment. Geopolitical events and traditional market stress also ripple into crypto. Technical levels and options expiry dates may create momentum shifts. Monitoring these signals helps traders anticipate whether Bitcoin will close above or below its current level by the deadline.
