Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Bitcoin price movement market dashboard displays real-time odds and historical price data for the Bitcoin Up or Down event scheduled for July 11, 12:00PM–4:00PM ET. The interface tracks current market probability, 24-hour volume of $14,630, and cumulative trading activity to help traders monitor sentiment shifts. This dashboard lets you see how the crowd is pricing directional Bitcoin movement during that specific four-hour window, updated continuously as new trades execute on the platform.

Prediction market odds reflect what traders believe will happen, often diverging from current spot prices because they factor in volatility, news flow, and macro catalysts over the event window. While spot price shows Bitcoin's value right now, this market prices the probability of upward or downward movement during a discrete four-hour period. Comparing the two reveals whether the crowd expects mean reversion, momentum continuation, or a surprise breakout—insights that spot prices alone cannot capture.

On Polymarket, traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome—Bitcoin Up or Bitcoin Down—with prices ranging from $0 to $1. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by all participants; a share trading at $0.65 implies roughly 65% confidence in that outcome. As new information emerges or sentiment shifts, traders adjust their positions, and the price moves to equilibrate supply and demand.

This market resolves around Jul 11, 2026, once the four-hour event window closes and Bitcoin's price movement can be verified. The outcome is confirmed against credible public sources to determine whether Bitcoin moved up or down during that period. Resolution happens automatically once the data is finalized, and traders' positions settle based on which outcome occurred.

Major catalysts include Federal Reserve announcements, macroeconomic data releases, regulatory news affecting crypto, and large institutional trades or whale activity. Technical levels and support/resistance zones can trigger algorithmic buying or selling. Geopolitical events, corporate earnings, or shifts in risk sentiment across traditional markets often ripple into Bitcoin trading. Real-time social media sentiment and on-chain metrics may also influence trader conviction as the event window approaches.
