This market tracks whether the price of Bitcoin will be above $82,000 on September 27, 2026. Currently, Polymarket gives a 100.0% probability to that outcome. Resolution will be based on the 12:00 PM ET Binance BTC/USDT 1-minute candle “Close” price, as reported directly from Binance at https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT. Keep a close eye on price action leading up to September 27, 2026, as the final Binance BTC/USDT price at noon ET on that date will determine the market’s outcome.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Binance 1 minute candle for BTC/USDT 12:00 in the ET timezone (noon) on the date specified in the title has a final "Close" price higher than the price specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market is Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT "Close" prices currently available at https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT with "1m" and "Candles" selected on the top bar. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs. Price precision is determined by the number of decimal places in the source.
Currently, prediction market odds offer a unique perspective compared to traditional spot price expectations. While spot prices reflect immediate buying and selling pressure, this market aggregates informed speculation about the price of Bitcoin on a specific date. Analysts and polls often provide forecasts, but this market represents a continuously updated, financially incentivized forecast. Discrepancies between the two can highlight areas where the crowd believes information is mispriced or where future events haven't been fully factored into current valuations.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of Bitcoin being above the specified price on September 27. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. The market’s liquidity, shown by the 24-hour volume, influences how easily traders can enter and exit positions, impacting price discovery.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the price of Bitcoin as recorded on a widely recognized exchange at a specific time on September 27. The exact price used for resolution will be determined by Polymarket’s established procedures, ensuring a transparent and reliable outcome. Traders will then receive payouts based on their holdings and whether the final price meets the market’s condition.
Several signals and events could significantly move this market before Sep 27, 2026. Major news regarding regulatory changes related to Bitcoin, such as approvals of spot ETFs or restrictive policies, would likely have a substantial impact. Unexpected macroeconomic data releases, like inflation reports or interest rate decisions, could also influence investor sentiment. Furthermore, significant technological developments or security breaches within the Bitcoin network itself could shift the probabilities reflected in this market. Geopolitical events and broader market risk sentiment also play a role.
