This market tracks whether Bitcoin will trade above $56,000 at noon ET on June 18, 2026, based on the Binance BTC/USDT pair. On Polymarket, the leading outcome currently stands at 100.0%. Resolution will be determined by the closing price of the 1-minute candle on Binance at 12:00 PM Eastern Time on June 18, 2026, with price data sourced directly from Binance's official BTC/USDT trading pair. Watch the Binance BTC/USDT price action as June 18, 2026 approaches to gauge whether Bitcoin will close above the $56,000 threshold at the noon ET snapshot.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Binance 1 minute candle for BTC/USDT 12:00 in the ET timezone (noon) on the date specified in the title has a final "Close" price higher than the price specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market is Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT "Close" prices currently available at https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT with "1m" and "Candles" selected on the top bar. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs. Price precision is determined by the number of decimal places in the source.
Prediction market odds reflect aggregated trader expectations about Bitcoin's price trajectory, which often diverge from current spot prices or analyst forecasts. When this market shows lower odds, it signals traders believe the threshold is less likely to be reached by the resolution date, even if Bitcoin is trading near that level today. Conversely, higher odds suggest confidence in upside momentum or sustained price levels. These odds incorporate forward-looking sentiment, volatility expectations, and macro conditions that spot prices alone do not capture, making them a distinct signal of collective market judgment.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker mechanism where buying shares of the "yes" outcome pushes the price upward and selling pushes it downward. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The contract price reflects the marginal probability that Bitcoin will close above the specified level on the settlement date. Liquidity providers and speculators continuously adjust positions based on new information, technical levels, and macro developments, ensuring the market price converges toward fair value as the event date approaches.
This market resolves around Jun 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution hinges on whether Bitcoin's price exceeded the specified threshold at the designated time. Traders holding "yes" shares receive full payout if the condition is met; "no" holders are paid if it is not. The binary structure ensures a clear, unambiguous settlement once the reference time passes and price data becomes final.
Major catalysts include Federal Reserve policy announcements, macroeconomic data releases, regulatory developments affecting cryptocurrency, and Bitcoin network events such as difficulty adjustments or adoption milestones. Geopolitical tensions, traditional market volatility, and large on-chain transactions can also shift trader conviction. Technical price action near support or resistance levels often triggers rapid repricing as traders reassess probability. Additionally, shifts in institutional interest, spot exchange inflows or outflows, and derivative market positioning can accelerate odds movement as the June deadline approaches.
