This market tracks whether Bitcoin will trade above $62,000 on Polymarket, with resolution determined by the Binance BTC/USDT closing price at noon ET on the specified date. The leading outcome currently stands at 100.0% probability. Settlement will be based on the 1-minute candle close price from Binance's BTC/USDT pair at 12:00 PM Eastern Time, making the noon ET close on July 12, 2026 the critical moment for determining the final outcome.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Binance 1 minute candle for BTC/USDT 12:00 in the ET timezone (noon) on the date specified in the title has a final "Close" price higher than the price specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market is Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT "Close" prices currently available at https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT with "1m" and "Candles" selected on the top bar. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs. Price precision is determined by the number of decimal places in the source.
Prediction market odds reflect what traders collectively believe will happen, which often diverges from current spot prices or analyst forecasts. While spot markets price Bitcoin's value right now, this market prices the probability of a specific price level on a future date. If traders expect Bitcoin to appreciate, odds will rise; if they anticipate consolidation or decline, odds will fall. Comparing the implied probability here to your own view of Bitcoin's trajectory and volatility can reveal whether the market is pricing in optimism or caution relative to your expectations.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares that represent yes or no outcomes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of yes shares reflects the market's collective belief in the probability of Bitcoin exceeding the threshold by the resolution date. As new information emerges—regulatory news, macroeconomic shifts, or Bitcoin network developments—traders adjust their positions, moving the price up or down. Liquidity and order flow on the platform determine how quickly prices respond to new signals.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result hinges on whether Bitcoin's price meets or exceeds the specified level at that time. Traders holding winning shares receive their payout once the outcome is finalized and verified. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on widely accessible price data, ensuring all participants can independently verify the result.
Major catalysts include Federal Reserve policy announcements, inflation data, and geopolitical developments that typically drive Bitcoin volatility. Regulatory news—such as SEC decisions on spot Bitcoin ETFs or government stances on crypto—can shift trader sentiment sharply. On-chain metrics, institutional adoption announcements, and macroeconomic trends also influence price expectations. Technical levels and options expiry dates may trigger momentum shifts. Real-time news flow and changes in correlation with traditional assets will keep this market dynamic as July 12 approaches.
